Omega-3 and CBD

Is your CBD working as well as it could? Are you needing to increase your dosage over time to continue to get benefits? Are you wanting to get the most out of your CBD?

Omega-3 could be the answer!

Omega 3 plays a critical role in maintaining proper functioning of your endocannabinoid system. The healthier your diet the easier your body can synthesize its own cannabinoids and utilize cannabinoids. Having a good balance of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids encourages the production of cannabinoid receptors and endocannabinoids. It is essential that the body gets a mixture of both omega-3 and omega-6, as they are both important to the synthesizing process. Most peoples diets are already high in omega 6 so it is critical to get more omega 3 to balance it out.

An easy way to incorporate more omega-3 into your diet is by eating more fish and seafood. Vegetarian sources include flax seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts and dark green leafy vegetables. Vegetarian sources contain omega-3 but contain less than fish and seafood. On days you do not eat fish or seafood, consider taking an omega-3 supplement to improve the effectiveness of CBD oil and to help your body function the best it can.

Fish oil is a common way to get more omega-3 but it is not the ideal source. Hemp seed oil contains the perfect ratio of omega-3 to omega-6. Hemp seed oil is lower in saturated fatty acids than other oils and is easily digested. Hemp seed oil contains the optimal 1:4 ratio of omega-3 to 6. However, any steps towards getting more omega-3 in your diet will be beneficial.
